Authorised Dealer in foreign exchange with limited authority

Authorised Dealers in foreign exchange (Authorised Dealers) and Authorised Dealers in foreign exchange with limited authority (ADLAs) are referred to Exchange Control Circular No. 32/2014 dated 2014-11-21 and are advised that the appointment of Exchange4free South Africa (Pty) Limited has been cancelled with immediate effect. Accordingly, the attention of Authorised Dealers and ADLAs is drawn to Government Notice 347 of 2018 published in Government Gazette No. 41722 of 2018-06-22 in terms of which Exchange4free South Africa (Pty) Limited is deleted from the list of ADLAs.

The attention of Authorised Dealers and ADLAs is, furthermore, drawn to Government Notice 348 of 2018 published in Government Gazette No. 41722 of 2018-06-22 in terms of which Shoprite Money Transfers (Pty) Limited is appointed as an ADLA.

In addition to the necessary amendments to the Orders and Rules under the Exchange Control Regulations, 1961, the name of Exchange4Free (Pty) Limited is deleted from the list of ADLAs and replaced with the name of Shoprite Money Transfers (Pty) Limited in sections A.2(A) and A.2(B) of the Currency and Exchanges Manual for Authorised Dealers in foreign exchange with limited authority and Currency and Exchanges Manual for Authorised Dealers (Manuals) respectively, as well as in the guideline documents for business entities and individuals (guideline documents).
