Authorised Dealer in foreign exchange

The attention of Authorised Dealers and Authorised Dealers in foreign exchange with limited authority are drawn to Government Notice No. 530 published in Government Gazette No. 43758 of 2020-10-02 in terms of which Goldman Sachs International Bank (GSIB), Johannesburg Branch, was appointed as an Authorised Dealer in foreign exchange.

The appointment permits GSIB to deal with Government and corporate debt (listed and over-the-counter OTC), currency derivatives (listed and OTC), interest rate products including interest rate swaps (listed and OTC), repurchase agreements, loan products and other asset-backed instruments and retail deposits.

The name of Goldman Sachs International Bank, Johannesburg Branch, will be added to sections A.2(A) and A.2(B) of the Currency and Exchanges Manual for Authorised Dealers and Currency and Exchanges Manual for Authorised Dealers in foreign exchange with limited authority respectively.
