Amendment of the Orders and Rules made under the Exchange Control Regulations, 1961

Authorised Dealers are advised that the Minister of Finance has by virtue of the powers conferred upon him by Regulation 16(2) of the Exchange Control Regulations, 1961, exempted all companies and persons from the operation of Regulation 16(1) until further notice. Accordingly, the attention of Authorised Dealers is drawn to Government Notice No. R.663 published in Government Gazette No. 31153 of 2008-06-17.

A copy of the Government Notice is attached hereto.
