Authorised Dealer in foreign exchange

Authorised Dealers in foreign exchange (Authorised Dealers) and Authorised Dealers in foreign exchange with limited authority (ADLAs) are referred to Government Notice No. 596 of 2019 published in Government Gazette No. 42411 of 2019-04-18 in terms of which Grobank Limited was appointed as an Authorised Dealer and are advised that the appointment of Grobank Limited as an Authorised Dealer has been cancelled with immediate effect.

Accordingly, the attention of Authorised Dealers and ADLAs is drawn to Government Notice No. 351 of 2021 published in Government Gazette No. 44696 of 2021-06-11 in terms of which Grobank Limited is removed from the list of Authorised Dealers.

The attention of Authorised Dealers and ADLAs is, furthermore, drawn to Government Notice No. 352 of 2021 published in Government Gazette No. 44697 of 2021-06-11 in terms of which Access Bank (South Africa) Limited is appointed as an Authorised Dealer.

In addition to the necessary amendments to the Orders and Rules under the Exchange Control Regulations, 1961, the name of Grobank Limited will be removed from and the name of Access Bank (South Africa) Limited will be added to the list of Authorised Dealers in sections A.2(A) and A.2(B) of the Currency and Exchanges Manual for Authorised Dealers and the Currency and Exchanges Manual for Authorised Dealers in foreign exchange with limited authority (Manuals), respectively, as well as in the guideline documents for business entities and individuals (guideline documents).
