Authorised Dealer in foreign exchange

Authorised Dealers in foreign exchange (Authorised Dealers) and Authorised Dealers in foreign exchange with limited authority (ADLAs) are referred to Exchange Control Circulars No. D66/1996 and D69/1996 dated 1996-09-30 and 1996-11-14 respectively, and are advised that the appointment of Société Générale has been cancelled with immediate effect. Accordingly, the attention of Authorised Dealers and ADLAs is drawn to Government Notice No. 719 of 2020 published in Government Gazette No. 43988 of 2020-12-11 in terms of which Société Générale is deleted from the list of Authorised Dealers.

In addition to the necessary amendments to the Orders and Rules under the Exchange Control Regulations, 1961, the name of Société Générale is deleted from the list of Authorised Dealers in sections A.2(A) and A.2(B) of the Currency and Exchanges Manual for Authorised Dealers and Currency and Exchanges Manual for Authorised Dealers (Manuals) in foreign exchange with limited authority respectively, as well as in the guideline documents for business entities and individuals (guideline documents).
