Authorised Dealer in foreign exchange with limited authority

The attention of Authorised Dealers is drawn to Government Notice No. R. 907 published in Government Gazette No. 38216 of 2014-11-21 in terms of which Exchange4free South Africa (Pty) Limited was appointed as an Authorised Dealer in foreign exchange with limited authority to operate as an Independent Money Transfer Operator.

This appointment permits Exchange4free South Africa (Pty) Limited to enter into transactions in respect of money remittance services, i.e., cross-border person-to-person payments of a relatively low value.

The name of Exchange4free South Africa (Pty) Limited should be added to Section A.2(B) of the Exchange Control Rulings as a Category three Authorised Dealer in foreign exchange with limited authority to operate as an Independent Money Transfer Operator in South Africa.

A replacement page of the Exchange Control Rulings incorporating the relevant amendment is attached hereto.
